Indonesian Nutrition Association supports ILUNI UI Community Development : Invites Community to Care


World Diabetes Day is every year on November 14, first created in 1991 by the International Diabetes Foundation and the World Health Organization. Diabetes is a chronic disease where the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin if any at all.



On World Diabetes Commemoration Day, ILUNI UI Community Development invites people to be more alert and concerned about diabetes through the "Diabetes Aware, We Care" activity which was held on Sunday, November 24, 2019.


The activity carried out at the UI Depok Rotunda Field was attended by the Chairperson of UI ILUNI, Andre Rahadian, as well as the UI ILUNI Daily Members and Management Board.


There were 150 people who registered to take part in diabetes counseling and risk assessment with the diabetes counseling team from the Community Development Center Health team, with a coordinator by Dr. Ray W Basrowi (Deputy Chair of the Community Development Center). Blood sugar checks were carried out by the Indonesian Nutrition Association Doctors Team, followed by 156 visitors.




In addition, there is also psychosocial / mental health counseling with Mrs. Maya Sita's Psychosocial Counselor. Not to forget besides the counseling session there is also the distribution of free goodies, conducted by Dipo logistics Coordinator, whose preparations are also assisted by team members who work hand in hand. The Chairperson of the Community Development Center, Indri Juwono expressed gratitude and gratitude for all parties both from the Community Development Center team, ILUNI UI administrators, and not forgetting those who have sponsored these activities, namely for the Indonesia Nutrition Association and Nestlé.
